I’m Brenda and my mission is to help mid-career professionals get the role of their dreams! I do this by helping them believe in themselves and teaching them a simple yet powerful step-by-step formula to STAND OUT in the job search even while competing with hundreds or thousands of other applicants. And they do this without applying online or networking.
I work primarily with mid-career leaders (often at the senior, director, or VP level) who are done feeling frustrated, or overwhelmed when it comes to the job search market. They are deeply committed to making a change in their careers and lives, and to courageously do what needs to be done to get results.
Often these professionals are introverted, highly sensitive, or deeply empathetic individuals. They long for a role where they can feel deeply fulfilled, where their contributions are appreciated, and where they are paid what they are worth.
These professionals know that they have already accomplished SO MUCH in their careers but when it comes to the job search, they feel lost navigating the confusing and emotionally overwhelming world of today's job-search process. They might also encounter some creeping doubts about their own professional worth which stops them from fully showing up and going for roles they know they deserve and really care about. In truth, they have so much to offer to any team and role, but are also aware they need some serious help showcasing and selling themselves. This is where I come in....

I use my experience as a job seeker (one who has been in your shoes and conquered that lack of professional self-confidence) and my 10+ years in sales & marketing for the greatest brands in the world - because the reality is that getting a job is all about knowing exactly how to market and sell the “product of you”.
I also help you uncover and shift any fears and limiting beliefs that are keeping you from being the kick-ass woman professional that you know you really are. Together we'll follow a strategy that inspires you to show up authentically and feel truly confident in your job search.
When I found myself without a job a few years ago, I felt like I'd lost my identity. If I wasn't "Director of..." who was I? Suddenly I found myself completely lost and overwhelmed in a job market I didn't know the rules of. If that wasn't enough, I had also decided to change careers and ultimately not make full use of the network I had grown for so long. After many years of not having to look for a job, suffice it to say, it quickly became very apparent that I did not know how to get a job.
During that time, like everyone else, I started applying online but quickly realized that would get me nowhere. I even bought a job search course, but ultimately determined that networking as a strategy was too slow, too unreliable, and did not fit my personality (I'm an introvert!). So I changed my approach. I experimented learning all there was to know about job searching. I failed many times. In the process I learned that getting a job was not only about the strategy, but about how you ultimately saw yourself. Every automatic rejection, non-reply, and ghosting made me question my worth as a professional and got me to believe that I was never gonna get a job! In this new world, my past accomplishments didn't matter; I was either too qualified, not qualified enough, too old, too young, etc.
In the end, I developed a strategy that got me 7 interviews out of 10 companies I'd approach (sometimes even more) all without networking or applying online as well as how to authentically position and sell my skills during the interview process. I learned that even thought it might be hard, career changing is absolutely possible. Most of all, I learned how important it is to learn to trust my inner voice. Now I'm on a mission to help other ambitious mid career professionals get the job they really want, to believe and trust in themselves and find a strategy that aligns with the authentic them.
